The Colorado Division of Housing posted a blog about two recent reports that both show Denver with “… increasing home prices (that) supports a conclusion that home prices in Colorado and in the Denver area are increasing, and outperforming many metropolitan areas throughout the United States.”
The first report, the Standard & Poor’s Case-Shiller Home Price Index, showed that Denver’s home prices increased between November 2008 and November 2009. Of the 20 cities included in the index, only Denver, Dallas, San Diego and San Francisco posted annual increases, with Denver 3rd on the list.
A Colorado Association of Realtor study, based on completed sales in December 2009, shows an 18% increase from the previous December.

According to a study conducted by Apartments.com and CBCampus.com, Denver ranks as #8 in their list of the 10 best cities in the U.S. for college grads to live affordably and find a job.
To develop the top 10 rankings, the study identified U.S. cities that have the highest concentration of young adults (age 20 – 24). The stats were taken from the U.S. Census Bureau 2006 data. Next, they looked at CBcampus.com for the number of available jobs requiring less than one year of experience in each city. The final factor considered was the average cost of rent for a one bedroom apartment from Apartments.com.
This ranking comes on the heels of Forbes.com’s finding that Denver is one of the top relocation destinations in the country earlier this year.
Check out the Denver area – as you can see….there is plenty to offer!
